To level the playing field, BRIDGEGOOD provides BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) students with tuition-free design education, equitable tech access, mentorship with working professionals, and career-building resources.
2019 celebrated 10 years of community impact - Oakland Digital Arts & Literacy Center and BRIDGEGOOD are now one. This is more than a rebrand. We are unlocking unlimited possibilities for creative job seekers.
BRIDGEGOOD is a culmination of hopes, dreams, and economic opportunity. In 2009, our first dream started with $300 and the commitment to help increase digital literacy across Oakland.
In 10 years, BRIDGEGOOD directly impacted the lives of 6,500 students, entrepreneurs, and organizations. Our programs boosted the economy by $5.8 million, leading to opportunities for 21st century employment and economic mobility. Over a decade of refining that dream, we've found our deepest impact is advancing design for social good and providing avenues for sustainable tech careers for Creatives.

We recognize our institutions do not adequately prepare nor create access to high quality STEM learning and career paths that center BIPOC girls. TBG is focused on one thing - re-engineering STEM education so girls are inspired and prepared to persist toward their STEM aspirations. We equip and galvanize out-of-school time (OST) educators and STEM professionals, with the equity training and curricula that empowers them to act as catalysts for our girls*.

Help us build the workforce the world needs Founded in San Francisco in 2007, at the start of the tech boom, we saw a real need for spaces dedicated to underrepresented voices throughout the industry. It's been our commitment, since day one, to make every voice heard. You can help us do it - and elevate your own brand at the same time.
We build pathways for young women of color to embrace the current tech marketplace as builders and creators by introducing them to skills in computer programming and technology.

Black Girls CODE is devoted to showing the world that Black girls can code and do so much more. The Silicon Valley Coders Club was founded in June of 2015 to provide a fun, learning environment for the youth of Silicon Valley, enabling hands-on collaborative start up experience. It started as a coding focused study group, morphing into an entrepreneurship effort based on the startup ideas that were being launched, Over 2,000 students have been trained and hundreds of startup projects/prototype launched since it's inception in Summer of 2015.

Our communities were historically locked out of the economic opportunity and digital innovation brought by the tech to other California communities. We knew that our kids deserve the very best to nurture their talents, wisdom, and passions so we built our own thriving center for technology and empowerment that prepares our young people to prosper in the workforce. Digital NEST spins a web of connection and opportunity across the entire community.

We seek to carry out our Mission by operating unique community-based incubators called "Digital Clubhouses", located in Silicon Valley and New York City, where people of all ages can come together to create new and exciting applications of digital technology that enrich education and lifelong learning, promotes public health, preserve history, and encourage a deeper appreciation of cultural diversity. Legal name of SMASH - Summer Math and Science Honors (SMASH) Academy. It was inspired by and loosely modeled after Phillips Academy Andover's Math and Science for Minority Students [(MS)2]. The SMASH Academy launched a residential summer program in 2004 at UC Berkeley, and in 2006, expanded to include year-round academic programming, based on student requests.

Breakthrough high school students with an interest in programming can attend our Computer Science Academy, where they spend two weeks learning computer science basics and creating their very own video games using Zulama. The academy includes career exposure as well, through "lunchtime chats" with local tech professionals.
