2019 celebrated 10 years of community impact - Oakland Digital Arts & Literacy Center and BRIDGEGOOD are now one. This is more than a rebrand. We are unlocking unlimited possibilities for creative job seekers.

BRIDGEGOOD is a culmination of hopes, dreams, and economic opportunity. In 2009, our first dream started with $300 and the commitment to help increase digital literacy across Oakland.

In 10 years, BRIDGEGOOD directly impacted the lives of 6,500 students, entrepreneurs, and organizations. Our programs boosted the economy by $5.8 million, leading to opportunities for 21st century employment and economic mobility. Over a decade of refining that dream, we've found our deepest impact is advancing design for social good and providing avenues for sustainable tech careers for Creatives.

The Digital Clubhouse Network is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that was formed as the result of a 1996 NASA research project, whose mission is to develop innovative ways of using the power of the digital technologies that are transforming our world to build a better 21st century community. Legal name of SMASH - Summer Math and Science Honors (SMASH) Academy. It was inspired by and loosely modeled after Phillips Academy Andover's Math and Science for Minority Students [(MS)2]. The SMASH Academy launched a residential summer program in 2004 at UC Berkeley, and in 2006, expanded to include year-round academic programming, based on student requests.



Extensive research showed that the SMASH model worked. Soon after, the national SMASH expansion began.

Breakthrough high school students with an interest in programming can attend our Computer Science Academy, where they spend two weeks learning computer science basics and creating their very own video games using Zulama.
