WALNUT VALLEY ROBOTICS
WALNUT, CA
https://www.team5857.org/
robotics
Unlike other FRC teams, we started out in our captain’s garage with no affiliation to any high schools. We did not have access to any advanced technology and facilities that other teams did. However, since then, we have constantly focused on expanding our team and knowledge. Only recently in the Fall of 2019 have we been able to move into a warehouse dedicated to robotics, gain the help of a non-alumni mentor, and become partially affiliated with Walnut High School. Despite growing so much as a team, our vision has not changed. We are focused on not only being a competitive robotics team, but we are also spreading the message of FIRST across the world. We are dedicated to inspiring others in our community to explore STEM - to help others create and design something, even from their wildest dreams. No limit is unsurpassable, and no dream is unreachable. Moreover, we hope that our outreach can leave a lasting impact on everyone—those in our local community, and even those on the other side of the world. We hope that our team will come out of this program being forever changed by FIRST.
